# Ordering parts with PartsTech

> Import parts from PartsTech, complete the purchase, and edit the parts on a work order.

PartsTech opens in a separate browser tab while the work order stays open in TireTutor.

Imported prices include your shop's parts markup when your shop has one set up.

## Before you start

* Contact support to turn on PartsTech for your shop.
* Open **Settings** › **Integrations**. Select **Connect PartsTech Account** for the shop's PartsTech account.

## Add parts to the work order

**When:** You need to find parts and add their details to the work order.

    On the work order, select **PartsTech**.

  <Step title="Start the PartsTech session">
    Select **Add Parts** with **via PartsTech** beneath it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Find the parts">
    PartsTech opens in a separate browser tab. Find the parts there.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit the quote">
    Submit the quote in PartsTech.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the imported parts">
    Return to TireTutor. The **Add Parts** dialog lists **Name**, **Part #**, **Part Type**, **Price**, **Quantity**, and **Action**.

  <Step title="Update the parts">
    Change each **Price** or **Quantity** as needed. Remove any part that does not belong on the work order.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the parts">
    Select **Save**.

  The imported parts appear in a separate service group named **Parts**.

## Order the imported parts

**When:** The imported parts are ready for purchase.

    Select **PartsTech** on the work order.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the parts">
    Select the checkbox for each part that you want to order.

    **Quantity** allows 1 through 10 for each part, but changes here affect only the PartsTech cart. Edit the line on the work order to change its quantity.

  <Step title="Open the cart">
    Select **Open in Cart**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the purchase">
    PartsTech opens in a separate browser tab. Complete the purchase there.

<Check>
  For shops with this feature, the work order shows the purchase order under **Purchase Order** with its **Status**.

## Edit parts after import

**When:** A part name, MPN, quantity, price, or labor line needs a change.

    Select **Edit** on the service group named **Parts**.

  <Step title="Update the part details">
    Change the **Name**, **MPN**, quantity, or price for each imported part.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add labor when needed">
    Select **Add Labor**. Enter the labor name, hours, and price.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the group">
    Select **Save**.
  </Step>

  The **Parts** group shows the saved part and labor details.
