Use Point of Sale to prepare an estimate, track the approved work, collect payment, and complete the work order. An estimate lists the proposed parts, tires, labor, and fees. When the customer accepts the work, the estimate becomes a work order. ## Follow the work order Status chips show where the order stands: **In Progress**, **Payment Pending**, **Completed**, or **Voided**. Payment chips track the balance separately: **Unpaid**, **Partially Paid**, or **Paid**. Use **Process Payment** to collect or record payment. Square handles card payments, payment links, and Tap to Pay. Use the same option to record cash, check, or Zelle payments. Owners and Admins can use **More Options** for restricted order actions, depending on the order's status and your shop's settings. **Void Work Order** applies to an order in progress; **Override Payment Pending** applies to one stuck at **Payment Pending**. **Reopen Work Order** applies to a **Completed** order only. Dealer-level Admins and Owners can reopen it, but not a voided order. **Send Invoice to Customer** sends the customer a link to the invoice. Its **More ways to send** menu offers a text message and the public invoice page. Some shops also see a Square Messages shortcut. ## Roles and access Permission levels are **No access**, **Employee**, **Admin**, and **Owner**. * Owners and Admins can void eligible work orders and use other restricted order actions. * Employees can work with estimates and work orders, take payments, and send estimates. Your shop's settings can limit which employees see reports. ## Where to go next Connect Square and check the payment connection. Pair terminals and choose the terminal for a payment. Take card payments and record other payment methods. Create a payment link or use Tap to Pay in Square. Email or text a read-only estimate to a customer. Choose how strictly your shop records what a customer approves. If your shop has PartsTech turned on, use it to source and order parts. Order, receive, and sell a tire outside the catalog. Void an unpaid work order and find it later. Add and manage service charges for your shop. Review sales and profit information for your shop. Download the report data or schedule email delivery.
