# Getting started

> Open the website editor, change one homepage headline, and check the result on a computer and a phone.

This first session changes one headline on your live homepage.
You need a CMS account with **Site Manager** or **Editor** access, your website address, and a phone.

If your dealer app shows **Website Editor** under Marketing, the link opens the CMS.
If you do not see **Website Editor**, contact support.

  Saving changes the content your live website uses. There is no separate publish step.

## Make your first edit

  <Step title="Open the editor">
    Select **Website Editor** under **Marketing** in the dealer app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in to the CMS">
    Use your CMS account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open your live website in another browser tab">
    Your website address is separate from the editor address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review your homepage">
    Check the headline for one useful change.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to the editor tab">
    The live website stays open for comparison.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Page Contents">
    Select **Page Contents** in the sidebar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open your shop's record">
    Its **Site** field identifies your website.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Home Page">
    This tab holds the homepage sections.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Hero Section">
    **Heading** holds the main homepage headline.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Edit Heading">
    For Aubin's Auto, an example is “Tires and auto service in Watertown.”
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the new headline">
    Check the wording against your shop's services and location.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the change">
    Select **Save**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Refresh your live homepage">
    The browser tab shows the customer-facing result.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open your live homepage on a phone">
    Use the same website address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the headline on your phone">
    The text must remain readable beside the image and buttons.
  </Step>

<Check>
  Your live homepage shows the new headline on both devices.
  If it still shows the old text after refreshing, contact support.
</Check>
