The guides cover the most common tasks; **Job Postings** and **Reviews** work the same way as the other records, with their own fields. Dealer accounts can read those records, but they cannot change or delete them. ## Saving and version history | Item | Behaviour | | - | - | | **Save** | Saves the current record for the live website; no separate draft or publish step | | Unsaved edits | No autosave | | **Versions** | Saved history for the content sections above, except Media; up to 10 versions per record | | Deleted record | Deletion also removes its versions; version history cannot bring it back | | Media | No version history | | Page type | One page per type for each site, including Custom | | Navigation | One record per site, containing both header and footer menus | | Page Contents | One record per site, with tabs for pre-built sections | | New media | Site and Alt Text are required for dealer uploads | ## Glossary | Term | Meaning | | - | - | | CMS | Content management system; the editor for your website | | Site | The website that owns a record | | Page | A destination a customer can visit | | Page Contents | Editable sections for pre-built pages | | Navigation | Menu links that help customers reach pages | | Header | The area at the top of the website | | Footer | The area at the bottom of the website | | Internal Page | A destination on your TireTutor website | | External URL | An address on another website | | Top Level | A header link outside a group | | Group | A listed category that contains header links | | Slug | The path after the website address, such as `/coupons` | | Meta Title | A title search engines can use for the page | | Meta Description | A summary search engines can use for the page | | Hero image | A large image near the top of a page | | Alt Text | A description of an image for people who cannot see it | | Site Theme | The template layout | | Theme colours | Background, text, section, and component colours | | Hex code | A colour value such as `#000000` for black | | Foreground | Text colour on its paired background | | Featured Brand | A brand chosen for prominent display | | Display Order | Sort order; lower numbers appear first | | Service area | A town or area your shop serves | | Blog | An article on your website | | FAQ | A frequently asked question and its answer | ## Troubleshooting | Symptom | What to do | | - | - | | Website Editor is missing from Marketing | Contact support. | | Pages or Site Settings is missing | Contact support about Site Manager access. | | A new page is missing from the menu | Add its link in [Navigations](/dealers/website/managing-pages#add-a-header-or-footer-link). | | A second Custom page fails to save | Contact support. Each site allows only one page per type, including Custom. | | A second navigation record fails to save | Edit the existing navigation record for your site. | | Homepage text is missing from Pages | Open Page Contents → Home Page → Hero Section. | | An internal page is missing from the link choices | Check the navigation record's Site. Contact support if the page remains unavailable. | | An image looks wrong | Review its crop and file size. Check the page on a phone. | | An upload fails without a Site | Select your shop in Site before saving the new image. | | A shared image cannot be edited | Create a new image for your Site with the [replacement steps](/dealers/website/managing-page-content#replace-an-image). | | Your brand's hex code is unknown | Ask your logo designer or contact support. | | A saved colour looks wrong | Change the colour again in Site Settings → Theme. | | A low-contrast warning appears | Adjust the paired text or background colour. The warning does not block saving. | | A deleted record is missing from Versions | Contact support. Version history cannot recover a deleted record. | | Website services differ from your shop's services | Update the website copy in Services. Contact support for changes outside the website. | | Service Areas lists an inaccurate place | Review the area before [deleting it](/dealers/website/managing-shop-details#review-service-areas). | | A social platform has no field | Contact support. | | Job applications use the wrong inbox | Check Site Settings → Forms → Career Form → Submission Email. | | A saved edit is missing from the live site | Refresh the page.
