Use this setting to choose what you hear when a notification arrives. Muting the sound does not hide visual notifications.

Choose an alert sound

When: You want to change the sound that plays for CRM notifications.
1

Open the notification settings

2

Choose a sound

Under Notification Sound, select Engine or Standard.
Notifications settings page with three radio options under Notification Sound: Engine, Standard and Mute. The Engine option, labeled Engine rev sound (default), has the filled radio.

The Notifications settings page. Engine is the default.

Your selection saves immediately. There is no Save button. TireTutor plays the sound once as a preview.
The option you selected stays marked, and the sound plays once.

Mute alert sounds

When: You want visual notifications without notification audio.
1

Open the notification settings

2

Select Mute

Under Notification Sound, select Mute.
Mute stays marked. Badges, messages, tab-title alerts, and browser notifications still appear.

Where the setting applies

Your choice applies to this browser profile, not to your user account. Anyone who signs in through the same browser profile hears the sound you chose. It stays the same when you switch shops or accounts in that browser. Choose the setting again on another device or in another browser profile. To change it back, select another option on the same page.

If you do not hear a sound

  • Check that Notification Sound is Engine or Standard.
  • Check that your device volume is on.
  • Check that your browser allows TireTutor to play audio.
  • Select the page once after you open CRM. TireTutor prepares the sound on your first click, tap, or key press.

If a browser notification does not appear

Open your browser’s site permissions. Confirm that your browser allows notifications for TireTutor. TireTutor shows no warning of its own when your browser blocks them.
