The public link gives the customer a print-style estimate page for a phone or computer.

Before you start

  • Add your shop’s email address under Settings › Stores. TireTutor uses the first address for replies.
  • Add an email address to the customer record for email delivery.
  • Add a phone number to the customer record for text-message delivery.

Email the estimate

When: The customer needs a read-only copy by email.

Open the estimate

Open the customer’s estimate.

Send the email

Select Send Estimate to Customer.
TireTutor shows Email sent to customer successfully. The estimate shows Last emailed: with the send time.
The email links to a read-only estimate page. The customer can review the estimate but cannot approve, decline, or sign it there.

Use another delivery option

Select More ways to send beside Send Estimate to Customer. The available menu can include:
  • Text the estimate link sends the public link by text message.
  • Open messages opens the guided Square Messages workflow if your shop has the Square Messages shortcut turned on.
  • View estimate opens the public estimate in a separate browser tab.
After a text message goes out, the estimate shows Last texted: with the send time.

Add missing information

TireTutor opens a required-information dialog when a send action lacks a needed address or phone number.
  • Store Email Address Required: Select Go to Settings. Add an email address under Settings › Stores.
  • Email Address Required: Select Add Email. Add the customer’s email address.
  • Phone Number Required: Select Add Phone Number. Add the customer’s phone number.
