A tire price starts with your supply sources. You then shape that price in the same order as the four setup tabs.
Keep the Live Price Preview panel open as you work. It shows the estimated effect of unsaved changes on your inventory.
Before you start
You need Owner or Admin access for your dealership.
In the sidebar, under Shop Settings , select Tire Markups . The page opens with four numbered tabs.
Stage 1 — Set up distributors
Open 1. Distributors
Review every supply source listed for your shop. If a distributor you use is missing, contact support.
Turn on each distributor you use
Use Enabled for each source that supplies stock and cost data for pricing.
Set each distributor's markup
Choose Fixed ($) or Percentage (%) . Enter the markup value for that distributor.
Choose a primary distributor if needed
Use Primary when one distributor must set the lowest allowed base price. You can choose at most one.
The Live Price Preview changes when you adjust a distributor or its markup. A primary distributor can only pull prices up.
Stage 2 — Choose a pricing scheme
Open 2. Pricing Scheme
Review the five ways to select a marked-up distributor price.
Select Min (6 in stock) for a full-set starting point
Min (6 in stock) uses the lowest marked-up price from a distributor with at least six tires in stock.
Use Min (in stock) for smaller-quantity sales when needed
Min (in stock) can fit shops that often sell one or two tires at a time.
The Live Price Preview updates after you select a scheme. Compare its result with the sales pattern at your shop.
Stage 3 — Choose brands
Open 3. Brands
Review the brands currently listed for your catalog.
Add the brands you sell
Use Add Brand to add one brand at a time. A brand must have a row to appear in your catalog.
Or add every available brand at once
Select Add All . In the Add all available brands? dialog, select Add all . TireTutor saves the brands immediately and discards any unsaved brand edits.
Add all saves every available brand at once, so unsaved brand edits are lost.
Set any brand-specific markups
Choose a fixed or percentage markup for each brand that needs one. Leave the markup at zero for no extra amount.
Every brand you want to sell has a row. The Live Price Preview reflects any brand markup you entered.
Stage 4 — Add custom markups
Open 4. Custom Markups
Start with one simple rule in each category that you need. One matching rule applies in each category.
Create a catch-all Tire Price Markup rule
Leave the conditions open. Set a fixed or percentage amount that fits most tires.
Create an Installation Fee rule
Set the amount that you charge per tire for mounting and balancing.
Add a Run-Flat Surcharge rule if needed
Set an extra amount for run-flat tires.
Review the preview
Check the average change, affected tire count, and specific tire results before you save.
Save your changes
Select Save changes when the preview matches your plan.
Confirm the change summary
The Review your pricing changes dialog lists each change. Select Confirm save to apply them.
Nothing saves until you select Confirm save.
The Pricing Snapshot summarizes your active rules. The preview shows how those rules affect tires in your inventory.
What you set up
Your distributors and scheme create the base price. Brand and tire-price rules add to it. MAP can then adjust the unit price before installation charges apply.
