Educational guidance. TireTutor does not host email. These steps use the migration tool that comes with Microsoft 365.

Copy your mailboxes into Microsoft 365

You need an administrator account for your Microsoft 365.

Open Migration

In the Exchange admin center, go to Migration.

Open Endpoints

Click Endpoints.

Add an endpoint

Click Add.

Connect to your old email

Choose IMAP. Type a name for the connection. Enter your old IMAP server name in IMAP server. Click Create.

Go back to Migration

Go back to Migration.

Start a migration batch

Click Add migration batch.

Name the batch

Type a name with no spaces. Select Migrate to Exchange Online.

Choose IMAP

Select IMAP migration. Then select the connection that you created.

Add your mailboxes

Download the CSV template. Fill in one row for each mailbox. Click Import CSV file to upload it.

Save the batch

Finish the steps. Click Save.

Start the copy

Click Done.

The CSV file has three columns:

Check the copy’s progress

Select the batch. Then click View details. Large mailboxes take hours or days. Your team keeps using email as usual while it copies. When the first copy finishes, switch your email. See Switch your email to the new provider.

Copy the last messages after you switch

Leave the batch running for 72 hours after you switch your mail records. It copies new email once a day. Then select the batch and click Delete to stop the copy.
