The order header keeps the assigned employees visible while you work.

Assign staff

Anyone who opens the work order from its own shop can assign staff. An order opened from another shop is view-only. A warning shows the shop to switch to, with a Switch button. Both pickers list active employees assigned to the work order’s shop.

Open the work order

Open the work order that needs staff assignments.

Open Staff

Find Staff on the order header.

Open the writer picker

Under Service Writer:, select Assign Writer.

Select the service writer

Choose one employee from the list.

Open the technician picker

Under Technician:, select Assign Tech.

Select the technician

Choose one employee from the list.
The selected names appear beside Service Writer: and Technician: in Staff.
The printed work order shows the assigned writer on the Service Writer: line.
